‘Human Motions’

Movement in art is always interesting and I’m often intrigued by art that depicts movement when there is no actual movement involved.

I like how this surrounds the viewer with its atomic structure.

Full of precious curiosities, this walk-through show is less a guide to all things sartorial than a take on clothing as a gateway to the mind. At Blythe House, London, from 22 April to 27 June 2010

I would like to see this work. Looks really interesting. I like the idea of that comes to mind from this photo, direct the viewer to a certain area with in a very white surrounding.

Diana Isaura Mendez Moreno

Moreno says about her work; "I am a sensitive artist and somewhat naive".

Looking at her other pieces I understand what she means. Her work is very child like, she seems to have a lot of unfinished pieces, they need to be worked on a little more. They need a little more depth.

I do like this piece though, it reminds me of a marble floor in a toilet or something like that. I think it has similarities to my own work, leaving the viewer questioning what on earth the piece is. Something tells me, Moreno wouldn't think about it like that though.

Denghui Qiao

Denghui Qiao's photograph's remind me so much of Alex Webb's "Saccades: Video Installation"

The motion and the ongoing similarities of Spatial Awareness in my own work.

I like the movement created. I am now slightly disappointed though as I now know how both Qiao's and Webb's work's are created. It has lost the illusion for me - I like to dream up my own stories of work.

Finnola Staples

Found this work on the Saatchi Gallery website and realised she is actually an ex-student at Glasgow School of Art, graduated in 2008 I think.

They contrast of light that are created with in the work is very fascinating. I wish I had seen this work in first hand.
